One of our show vendors & sponsors recently made headlines when she participated in ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."  Sidney Galpern owns and operates a bakery called Simi Cakes in Palm Bay, FL with her family, but she's really starting to make a name for herself as an amazing sugar artist.  She is proficient in isomalt (that really hot sugar that can be pulled, blown, etc) and has developed new, innovative techniques for working with it.  At the Florida ICED Cake Competition, she'll be doing demonstrations at her vendor table so be sure you stop by to say "hello"! 

Oh, and did we mention she's 15 years old?!  Yea, she's impressive!
